Our Programs

Healthy Connections for Moms-to-Be

The NCADD Healthy Connections for Moms-to-Be (Healthy Connections) Case Management Program provides pregnant women experiencing substance abuse and co-occurring disorders access to a comprehensive continuum of services designed to promote recovery. This program fully integrates women into society as healthy, substance-free individuals who are able to care for their children. Our continuum of services provides engagement and support to assist women in maintaining long-term sobriety while managing parenthood and life in the community.

Sustain Children's Toys and Clothing

Sustain is an online, low-cost resale shop run by the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence of Phoenix for the benefit of women and children impacted by substance abuse. Its mission is to provide work opportunities and skill development for women in recovery, to increase their self-esteem and pride while getting adjusted to the demands of the workplace and becoming a self-sustaining member of society, and to allow families to purchase affordable children's toys and clothing while reducing our carbon footprint.

The Weldon House Recycling

Through NCADD licensing and status as a local Phoenix 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, much of the funding for the moms is provided for by the State of Arizona through Magellan Health Services and the United Way. But no assistance is provided for the children and many of their day-to-day living expenses.

Family Education and Counseling Programs

NCADD provides Family Education and Counseling. The services are provided in individual, group and couples settings. The goal of the programs at NCADD is to facilitate individuals and/or families in their journey to recovery from substance abuse.

Women's Outpatient Program

Women who abuse alcohol and other drugs have unique issues. NCADD offers an Outpatient Program that recognizes that recovery for women requires development of life skills, resolution of life issues, goals, values, self-image, independence and empowerment. The program was developed on a time frame of at least 1 year. This allows the women to master skills vital for their recovery, strengthen a support system, increase their ability to financially provide for themselves and their children, practice parenting skills with continued monitoring, increase self-esteem and learn to believe in themselves.
